1. Domain: To get started, you need to purchase your domain name URL - www.yourwebsitename.com. You can do so at GoDaddy.com or at the domain reseller of your choice. 2. Web Hosting: You need a web hosting account. We offer free web hosting for one year with any custom design package purchase ($85 a year after that). If you would prefer to be hosted elsewhere, most hosts are compatible. My favorite independent web hosts to work with are: Hostgator, Siteground, or HostMonster. 3. Let's get started! You can reserve your e-commerce web design package with 25% down payment. This payment will hold your date in my design queue. Once I receive your initial payment, I will send out your questionnaire and design schedule. The other 25% will be due when your project start date arrives. Once the complete initial payment of at least 50% has been made, I will begin to design your website and the installation of your e-commerce software. If you miss your start date or need to postpone your project, a new design schedule will be created for you at our earliest convenience and your project will be rescheduled due to the delay. 4. Website Design & Software Installation: Using your questionnaire reply, I will start working on the graphics, buttons, backgrounds and other essential elements of your website. I will also install the software of the site into your hosting account. 5. Categories, Informational Pages and Sample Products: Information page content and three test products are requested and should be sent in with your questionnaire answers. If no sample products are sent in, we will add sample text and sample products to your site so that you can test the functionality of your cart. 6. Website Preview and Revision Process: Once I have completed your design preview, I will email you so that you can take a look at the layout and design and make any changes necessary. Three major revisions or 120 hours of design work are included but I am flexible and allow minor revisions throughout the design process and even after delivery. Make sure to let me know at this time of any changes that you need me to make to the overall design and layout of the site. The design of your website is the most important part of your package, so please be clear and organized in your emails. 7. Website Delivery: Once you have approved the design of the site, I will proceed to send out your pending invoice so that we can proceed with the delivery process and the creation of your matching package features - print goods, blog, product entry, etc. when applicable. Within 2-3 business days of confirming your complete final payment, I will email you a .zip file which will contain the elements included in your package and your site access and admin panel passwords. Software coding and layered files are not included. With the delivery files, I will include the additional package elements purchased by you, such as advertising banners, website elements, and any graphics or print goods, as well as a complete e-book manual and instruction sheet. 8. Product Entry and Additional Services: Product entry that is included in your package will be uploaded after delivery. If no product entry services are included in your package or purchased, you are responsible for all product entry. You will also be responsible for adding any additional information page content. Don't have the time to upload products or manage your site? We can upload products into your site for $2 per product. We can copy products directly from your vendors, drop shippers, manufacturer or distributor sites or you can email us your product information and attach the product photos. Whatever is best for you! At any time during the process, you may purchase additional services: an SSL certificate, dedicated IP, print goods, product entry, SEO packages, customized main page graphic, flash slideshow, matching blog or web hosting. 9. Website Launch: Let me know as soon as you are ready to open your shop to the public. Once your e-commerce website is launched, I would recommend that you add new products frequently, send out a newsletter to your mailing list to inform them of your launch and upcoming products, start advertising your site using your ad banners so that you can receive traffic, and create links to worthy partners to help your search engine rankings.
