Design Process

Pixeldiva Designs operates on standard business days from Monday - Friday, excluding holidays and weekends. Our hours of operation are from 9am EST - 5pm EST. However, we routinely check emails 7 days a week and we monitor our servers 24/7. All communications are answered in the order in which they are received. We prefer email as our main form of communication. However, our toll-free number is included in our questionnaire and we provide emergency assistance if needed.
 
1. Domain: To get started, all you need is your domain. If you haven't purchased your domain yet, please do so by clicking here.
 
2. Web Hosting: You need a web hosting account. We offer free web hosting for one year with any custom design package purchase. If you would prefer to be hosted elsewhere, 99% of hosts are compatible but please email us so that we can make sure.
 
3. Let's get started! Please place your deposit by purchasing the package of your choice, fill out our quote request form or request an invoice. When we have confirmed your payment or 50% deposit, we will email you your design questionnaire. Once we receive your questionnaire reply, we will begin to design your website and install your e-commerce software on your project start date. 
 
4. Web Design, Software Installation & Preview: Using your questionnaire reply, we will start working on your graphics, buttons, backgrounds and other essential elements of your website along with the programming.
 
How long does it take to receive your first preview?
This first portion of the design process can take between 1-4 weeks, depending on your package and the complexity of your site:
 
Premade Package: 7-10 business days
Standard Package: 12-15 business days
Pro Package: 2-3 weeks
Super Package: 4 weeks
 
5. Revisions Process: Once I have completed your design preview, I will email you so that you can take a look at the layout and design and make any changes necessary. Three major revisions (3 full redesigns) or 25-40 full hours of design work (including revisions) are included in our custom design packages. However, we are flexible and may allow minor revisions throughout the design process and even after delivery.  Make sure to let me know at this time of any changes that you need made to the overall design and layout of the site. The design of your website is the most important part of your package, so please be clear and organized in your emails. Please do not include product revisions or content revisions at this time.
 
6. Website Delivery: When you have approved the design and layout, I will send out your invoice for your pending balance. Once we have confirmed payment, we will transfer the site from the temporary server to your domain, so that we can proceed with the content upload, delivery process and the creation of any included package features - banners, print goods, blog, product entry, etc.
 
Within 3-5 business days of confirming your complete final payment, I will email you a .zip file which will contain the remaining elements included in your package and your site access and admin panel passwords. Software source code and layered files are not included. With the delivery files, I will include any additional elements purchased by you, such as advertising banners, website elements, and any graphics or print goods, as well as a complete e-book manual and instruction sheet.
 
7. Content, Information pages, Product Entry and Additional Services: Product entry will be uploaded after delivery of your site, your site is up on your domain, and your final payment has been made. If no product entry services are included in your package or purchased, you are responsible for all product entry. You will also be responsible for adding any additional information page content.
 
8. Do you need extra product entry or boutique website maintenance? We can upload products into your site for $1-2 per product or less. We can copy products directly from your vendors, drop shippers, manufacturer or distributor sites or you can email us your product information and attach the product photos. Whatever is best for you! At any time during the process, you may purchase additional services: an SSL certificate, dedicated IP, print goods, product entry, SEO packages, customized main page graphic,  flash slide show, matching blog or web hosting.

9. Website Launch: Let me know as soon as you are ready to open your shop to the public. Once your e-commerce website is launched, I would recommend that you add new products frequently, send out a newsletter to your mailing list to inform them of your launch and upcoming products, start advertising your site using your ad banners so that you can receive traffic, and create links to worthy partners to help your search engine rankings.
 
10. Website Assistance: If you need technical assistance at any time during the process or after delivery, please email me immediately for assistance. I offer free 24/7 unlimited email assistance. Technical support is free and unlimited but conditional. Please read our terms for more information. Phone assistance can also be purchased by the hour if not included in your package.
